Examination
The examination includes four X-rays to complement the examination and which makes it possible for the dentist to detect any problems that cannot be seen with the naked eye.
If the dentist discovers something from the basic examination that requires follow-up or treatment, you will be informed of this, after which further investigation may be required. No procedure will be started without your approval.

How often do you need to be examined?
At Swedish Dental Group, we set up a customized examination interval depending on all findings from the latest examination. The more findings that need to be followed up, the more frequent check-ups are necessary.
Examination for children
Children who are listed with us at Swedish Dental Group are examined every two years unless otherwise indicated. If high caries activity or follow-up of tooth change is detected, more frequent follow-up may be needed in addition to the regular examination.
Children/young people up to and including 19 years have free dental care.
This is how an examination works
- We update your general health declaration, take X-rays, and do a clinical examination to check teeth, gums, mucous membrane, and bite.
- The dentist will then summarize all findings and set up a plan for any measures or instructions on how you as a patient can maintain good oral health.
- If further therapy is necessary, we go through solutions that are suitable for you together. In this step, we will also provide a cost estimate for upcoming treatment/treatments.
