How does an emergency visit work?
The dentist focuses on the specific problem you're seeking help for. The important thing is to find and diagnose the problem to quickly resolve it. For extensive or special issues, a follow-up visit may be required for a permanent solution.
An example that may require a follow-up is if a tooth needs a root canal or if you need to see a specialist dentist for another reason. But you will always be offered pain relief and a temporary solution so you don't have to walk around in pain in the meantime.
Don't wait with the visit
There are several reasons that can cause toothache. Usually, it's due to tooth decay and untreated cavities. Regardless of the reason, it's always important to see an emergency dentist, even if the pain temporarily disappears.
A small cavity can develop into more extensive and troublesome problems over time. Therefore, it's wise to see a dentist early to avoid unnecessary expenses and trouble.
